Doris Eckstein

Grown up in a small town close to Stuttgart, Germany, I studied mechanical engineering in Munich. Most of the time of my professional life I run my own business. Since years I live with my husband in our adopted country canton Ticino, Switzerland.

Since 2004 we spend the winter months in Cochin, Kerala, India. Doing this I fulfil my long-cherished wish to study and live in a different culture. The close experience with poverty and the confrontation with extremely deprived children lead in 2004 to my engagement in aid organisations.
