Career

I was born in 1972. During my adolescent years, I grew up in the Swiss mountains (the Engadine valley). From 1992 on I studied physics in Zurich at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and acquired my masters degree in 1999.

Since the beginning of 2002 I have been working as a researcher/programmer in a quantitative hedge fund in Zurich, specialized in the development of automated real-time trading models (Olsen Ltd.).

I started with a Ph.D. in the end of 2006 (Chair of Systems Design, ETH Zurich)
