Career

I grew up in Laupen (BE) and completed teachers training college in Bern in 1999. After 3 years as primary school teacher I started my studies in Biology at the University of Bern. At the completion of the first 2 years, I moved to St Andrews (Scotland) to graduate in Marine and Environmental Biology in 2007. Since November 2007 I once again live in Switzerland and am about to find my place in the new working environment.

Travel

When travelling, I am most fascinated by the people one encounters and their culture and way of life. It makes you aware of what is most important to them and how they could best be supported. My travels so far led to Morocco, South Africa, Arizona, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Great Britain and other European countries. I am planning and looking forward to a journey to India.

Hobbies

I spend a lot of my spare time outdoors: hiking, cycling, kayaking and so on. I also enjoy going to the theatre, movies and other cultural events. All of the previous are most fun when accompanied by good friends and nice food!
